CUP held their third Two day Workshop on “Creating Child Writers” on 18th & 19th July 2015 with the students of Sri Damsara Sunday School, also the members of the CUP’s 10th Little Library at Sri Bodhirukkaramaya, Julampitiya, Weeraketiya. Thirty members of the library and four youth were given the opportunity to take part in this workshop.

Whilst, getting their reading and writing skills enhanced, the participants were able to gather the knowledge of teamwork, leadership skills, presentation talents, and express their creative thoughts. The workshop was conducted by CUP Member, Nadee Dissanayake with the assistance of CUP members Nishantha Perera & Harsha Gomes.

At the end of the workshop the participants were able to present their own little story with colourful pictures. This Children’s Story Book will be published in the near future and the proceedings from sales will be utilized to the further expansion of their existing Little Library.
